ICT Breakfast For Girls

Our slated program "ICT Breakfast For Girls" finally came off. The IGNITE toolkit was so helpful. There was a press release on March 11th - http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/artikel.php?ID=140588. We had two female role models and they did so well telling their stories. The deputy Minster for Communications was present and really thanked us and IGNITE for granting the female youth the opportunity. Also present was Cisco Networking Academy Director for west Africa. Two secondary schools attended each with fifteen Girls and a teacher. We had 18 post secondary students who also attended. We had a few men coming seeking advice for their relatives.

In all, it was a big success. As I said, the toolkit was so helpful. I was able to put everything together in the shortest possible time. What amazed me most was when the MC for the program started it off by asking "why are we here today" and the answers that these girls gave.
